Many players that have disguise often go between one description to another. I know it is fairly simple to keep a word file somewhere with various pre-written descriptions. However, I think it would be useful if we had one or two additional descriptions that we could quickly go back and forth between. So once you use disguise, you could then type something like "description use 2" and it automatically puts a description that you’ve written in the past, up for others to see. This idea is more about just making things easy for people that are lazy like myself <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

I generally will set up a macro that does everything automatically.

Keep a bunch of descs saved in a .txt, copy/paste the moment you disguise. 10 seconds work as opposed to dragging the coders away from existing projects. :p

What Kage said is what has always happened. Just set up a macro or something similar.

Ya, I don’t think copy pasting is to much trouble. However, it would be nice if dub/greet had some sort of limited function while disguised. If someone meets you and realizes their dub isn’t stickin to ya, you’re found out. That’s kinda lame.[/quote:2p85wazn]

That is pretty much impossible to fix I guess. "Hey, I’m John the Rodian!" and the next week "Wow, what a massive Hutt… Wait, you’re John! DISGUISE!"

Make it so that each smuggler can only wear a few disguises. The amount of these disguise slots would depend on your lck, smuggling max and perhaps some racial stuff.. Just like the languages. Then put in a feat that increases the amount of disguise slots.

A player would have to create a new disguise by some fancy command, it could be possible to attach a description too. Then, the player would just type in another fancy command that shows a list of possible disguises. Instead of using disguise <str desc> <cha desc> <race> <skincolor>, they would use disguise <slot>.

Yes, I actually think that this idea sucks ass but it’s just a way to satisfy you lazy bastards with too fat fingers for ctrl+c/v.

One cool bit about this idea is that it would then let there be a high-level smuggling feat that would let people see through disguises. See your real desc, for example.

steal a multidescer from any random MUSH – some MUD’s use them too, but not as many – and adapt it to LOTJ as part of the disguise command.
