      Curiousity about cybernetics regarding if their is any way to tell how much they’ll increase a stat before hand?

      Ask around IC, is the best answer, really.

      There isn’t a way to tell before hand by looking at the part. Not having played a doctor, I believe there are two variables involved in getting max stats from a cyber, 1) where you got it from, 2) the skill of your doctor.

      I wasn’t aware that the surgeon’s skill affected <!– s:o –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_surprised.gif" alt=":o" title="Surprised" /><!– s:o –>

      It may or may not involve sciences, medical level, stats…

      Personally, I’ve never noticed the difference, but then again, I haven’t really had any cybernetics implanted in any of my characters since the major science updates.

      I’m [i:20cv2f0a]pretty sure[/i:20cv2f0a] that medical level affects it. I [b:20cv2f0a]know[/b:20cv2f0a] that the medical science skill does.

      I currently play a Doctor, and I can tell you that neither your levels, or your sciences skill affects current cybernetics. All current cybernetics will give you the exact same stats, no matter who’s implanting them. The only difference that I have seen depends on the person’s % in the skill ‘cyber’ . The higher the percentage, the more likely you are to succeed in the surgery. First era of this timeline, however, when cybernetics were first being introduced by Czerka Corp, they often gave only 1+ to the stat they represented. Why is this? Because at that time, the imms were trying to make it more realistic. Czerka was a pioneer, and thusly, wouldn’t have necessarily MASTERED cybernetics in both the technology within the actual piece, and the persons doing the surgery. So, back then, in order to get the MOST from a cybernetic, a person had to be 150 medical, 100% cyber skill, AND 100% MEDICAL skill. Now-a-days, cybernetic surgery is ‘common knowledge’ and any of the current cybernetics give the exact same stats, no matter who is doing it.

      Thank you, and have a good day.

      The way I see it, cybernetic skill needs to be re-examined and coded accordingly. There are various cybernetics in the game which are pretty much different from one another, and somehow any person who has diagnosed themselves to level up over to the cybernetic level, will be able to implant them on you.

      What I’d like to see is;
      Required sciences for each type of cybernetic.
      Medical – Enhancement science requirement to get the +3 stats from the cybernetic as well as the required sciences I’ve mentioned above.

      Percentage of the skills in this game usually helps you fulfill those skills successfully, the higher the rate the faster and more successfull you are.
