Anyone get tired of seeing CommNet 0 [A Human Male] (darkly): blah blah blah blah blah? And then that random Jawa saying "Hello big-Human-man!" Did you ever stop and wonder, how ICly you could tell exactly what race they were? Sure human voices are easily pointed out, but what about those who have never seen Core races? Like a Hapan, how would they know what a Rodian is? Or a jawa that’s never seen a wookiee before? How would they know WHAT a wookiee sounds like, unless they know the language? Or how can you tell who someone is if they’re wearing armor and speaking through a voice filter(That metallicish kind of voice, that sounds like your over an intercom like Boba Fett/Jango Fett)
I propose that we revamp the CommNet channel to show voices, rather then shortdescs/armored descs. And allow players to set their voice strings, either at character creation, or with a command ingame. I’m not sure how it would appear as default, unless it would appear like [A human voice] or [a rodian voice] or something.

Continous balance that’s needed on a mud: playability/fun versus anal attenion to detail. This, to be honest, falls under the latter category.
