In the last few weeks we’ve seen the code-institutionalization of both turbolifts and clan base alarms. I don’t know how you guys feel about it, but from a builder point of view I LOVE them. It makes it a lot easier to implement them, not to mention the possibility for skills like ‘disablelift’ ‘repairlift’ and ‘disablealarm’, things like that.
Keeping up with this theme, I would like to see something similar done for Jail Cells. At the moment jail cells are collection of different room flags and a custom item. Adding the ‘jail’ flag to a room will basically do everything a jail cell does now (block comlinks, etc.) but it will automatically add a receiver to the room. By saying ‘request’ or some other keyword, a message will be sent to the clan that owns the structure the person is.
"A <sex> <race> is requesting roleplay in <roomname> in <structure>."
"A male Wookiee is requesting roleplay in The Execution Chamber in The Imperial Palace."

Also, make them VOICE ACTIVATED.

" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –> all these standardizations and simiplifications like the turbolifts and alarms and such are really handy… and make things more ‘realistic’ (used in the starwars sense given the fact they can now be bypassed and hacked and such)

Perhaps make a ‘clancell’ empowerment that allows only people empowered with that -and- a setting where a clan leader can set what rank or above can get into the cells?

That really doesn’t matter. I’ve never heard [b:1rn0jazn]anyone[/b:1rn0jazn] say [b:1rn0jazn]anything[/b:1rn0jazn] along the lines of "allowing idiocy encourages roleplay." Often enough, it’s the low-rank, power-hungry idiots that shouldn’t have cell access who are the ones that are like "lol, stunned" [x3497824897234].
Also, Skiia’s system -does- allow for certain people to be designated "prisoner wardens," etc.

Why are none of these amazing ideas EVER implemented? Force and death, clancells, emoteto, etc.
None of it’s ever put in. Show me one thing in this forum that’s affected code that went in in the last six months.
