So, i’ve failed to get any real decent ideas for what to buy people for christmas and have mostly resorted to gift cards so people can choose for themselves. Whats a good christmas present you were stoked to receive or had the pleasure of giving that made yours/someone elses christmas. The best present I undoubtedly ever got was a scrap metal figurine-statue of someone playing a saxophone. It was unique, unexpected, I didn’t ask for it, and– whether or not the person giving it to me realized it– really really thoughtful.

Family say i’m a grinch but i think christmas just looses the meaning once you’re out of your teens. Besides free shit(which isn’t free cause everyone always spends less than you do) which is kinda nice, i’m not inclined to religous holidays that just make you buy stuff that you don’t really need or even properly understand.
