Instead of displaying an actual count can we see a range that is either like
Zarkonian Technologies 20-29 Telgorn Corporation 10-19or the way it shows when information is hidden:
Zarkonian Technologies 20+ Telgorn Corporation 10+I have never seen a good conversation happen after someone’s member count changes, there’s always some guy that is hawk eyed about member counts and the aftermath of them noticing a count change ends up with a really stupid conversation. It would also stop that weird metagaming “killed a guy guess I got the right person because x clan’s member count dropped” line of thinking.
Thanks.

While I agree with the original idea, I don’t really understand the point as to how you actually implemented it Walldo. If every clan is just going to show 1+ members, why not just remove the whole line from showclan? Its a clan, we know there’s at least 1+ members in it unless its a defunct clan that for whatever reason won’t be removed. Zero’s original idea made sense, that way you can tell at least a size of the clan. But if we’re completely removing it and just putting a 1+ as the number, I think you might as well just remove the whole line since its just redundant at that point anyway. With that, why would the member count of a clan be limited but the funds be public knowledge? That’s actually pretty much exactly the opposite of what it would be realistically. Most companies and organizations would be more than happy to tell you how many people are in it, but are a bit more closed off when it comes to the funds. This could to a lesser level be applied to clan ships too. I think the planet number should be there still, since that’d be pretty open knowledge. While I’m at it, what’s the point of the vehicle and troops line in showclan anyway?
Also, regarding the lack of showing how many people are in the clan, it’d be nice if you were actually in that clan to be able to see the total.

It would seem the bit on showclan showing 1+ for everyone is a bug, I’ll bring it up with Rojan. If you look at the clans command it will show 10+ 20+ etc.
Clan member count is public to prevent metagaming, having clan funds viewable is a pretty useful thing as a game mechanic I think.

What? The money situation of every publicly traded corporation is known; no one really gives a fuck how many people are working there.

I think Corey makes a good point about the vehicle and ship count. I mean, that’s not info that would be immediately available to anyone other than individuals in the clan. I don’t think this needs to be on here. If there is any super complaints about it being gone, give espi mains or slicer mains a skill to tap into registries to get that info(i’m not for a new skill, just as a heads up).
