Ok, everytime I see this, I die a little inside, so I figured I would say something.  I feel like a revamp of the broadcast command is in order.  Instead of having run off of a comlink, make it a stand alone system.  That way, when you do broadcast “BLAH” it doesn’t come back as “KRNZ” in some weird encryption, language, or tone.  I’m not sure how it would be accomplished, or if it is even possible, but it is a suggestion.

Or, people could start currentcom’ing to a comlink that is not encrypted before broadcasting. That gets rid of the problem.

You make real good points but I kind of like how it is now, it’s LOTJ tradition at this point

I agree with how it is now,  but I would like to hear them even if I don’t have a comlink.

I agree. You have to be at a broadcast point, which, to me, means you have to have special equipment. We could ostensibly assume that broadcasting would put stuff up on bilboards and datapads as well.
