Someone else said a while back that it made more sense for combat skills to be in the combat class, and hunters should have stuff like assassination skills. After much thought, I find that I agree. So, I’d like to suggest that unarmed skills and blade mastery be moved to combat, and several new skills be added to the bounty hunter class.
slit <victim>
-IF- the victim is bound, or asleep, this skill will instantly reduce their HP to the point at which claimbounty may be used. However, failed use of the skill will result in the victim being instantly killed, robbing the hunter of their bounty. -I’m kind of hesitant to actuall propose this one for its obvious overpoweredness, but there you go-gutpunch
requires a free hand on part of the user. Damages your opponent’s MV points for between 1/12 and 1/3 of their CURRENT value.succerpunch
requires a free hand on part of the user. Stuns the target (but not the user) for 2-5 rounds (save for 1/2 duration or complete resistance) and forces the user to ‘flee’ – a last ditch skill to stay alive.(feat) Pierce disguise
works with the true_examine skill, but instead of simply giving the target’s race, it will give the greet information (if the hunter has any) of the target.bountycheck <victim>
checks with the local bounty hunter’s office remotely to see if the victim has a posted bounty on them (not private bounties)There were more, but it seems I forgot what they were between thinking of them and getting home from work.

You forgot the two most important changes for bounty hunting.
Code-support for private bounties, and a dead/alive option.

I like pretty much all of them, except for the succerpunch. I can’t see why it would be BH only, plus you should be able to dodge it and in order to perform it you would need both hands free. Otherwise it sounds pretty awesome, so make it a level 120 combat skill. <!– s:P –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt="

Real constructive comment, there. If you want something fixed, it typically helps to point out what needs to BE fixed. Unarmed combat isn’t bugged, it just sorta… fails at life. The skills are really vague in their usefulness. It’d also be nice if advanced unarmed let you block unarmed attacks, and master unarmed let you block blade attacks (though not at near the level a blade and the blade skills would let you).

If you want to know what is wrong with unarmed combat then lets see. How about the fact that the skills do nothing to improve your unarmed combat?

Actually, they do. I haven’t significantly tested the BH pair, but "unarmed combat" (the level 100 combat one) increases unarmed damage from 12-20ish to 20-80ish. From what I know, they scale up to mastery, which puts you about at the level an unarmed forcer is.

An unarmed forcer with senses and mastery does considerably more damage than a hunter with mastery.

So you changed it into something insignificant instead?
But yeah, advanced unarmed and unarmed mastery DO make a difference in unarmed combat so they’re not broken.

All my hunters saw absolutely no difference in unarmed combat effectiveness with those skills. Then again, I was never actually TAUGHT since no one could adept them. For some reason they had been rigged for a while so that no matter how much you fight without a weapon your unarmed % never budged. At least, that’s how it’s been for a while.
*edit* then again, I almost never bother with unarmed combat other than in vain attempts to adept every skill.

I never said senses, now did I?

It takes a while but you can adept it tho the damage is almost worthless
