Instead of posting the biotemplate to the forum and having
us cut and paste it into an editor, why not code it into the
game? Most of the information is asked at character
creation, so just format it using the biotemplate in the
code. The history command would just ask you the questions
again and format the answers accordingly.

Seems pretty straight forward to me. Not sure why the
biotemplate is necessary when coding it would ensure that
everyone has a history in the biotemplate format. And those
with an inadequate history could just be requested by an
immortal to use the history command and fix it or force them
      to do it.

because they would have to rewrite the code each era it changed? I’m guessing

I like to customize it a different way and would be unhappy if I haaad to use that thing.

The questions that are asked in the beginning used to be automatically put into your bio slot automatically, but not in the neat format that they would like everyone to use.

      Help biotemplate
      help era2biotemplate

If you put different variations in a few helpfiles, people might be a little happier about customizing bio templates and such. If you got asked ALL those questions at the start though, it’d prolong creation too much.

So, I’m kinda confused on this…

Do our bios have to look EXACTLY like the Template?
Or are we allowed to kinda rework it and make it a bit more extensive while including the same information?

For instance, I have a very extensive bio already set up for one character for Era 2, and I include a bit more detailed information, nothing I wouldn’t mind people learning through lookup….

It’s called a template for a reason. It serves as a starting point for people too lazy to put in the effort like you did, Keirath.

I’ll try to remember to code this at some point.
