Arkania announces plans to join the Rebel Alliance
A circular insignia with the words "Rebel Alliance" appears on the screen, spiraling for a moment before the broadcast cuts to a mid-sized human male, unassuming except for the look of determination and resolve on his face. He looks directly at the camera, the snowy tundra of Arkania and the Luka Sene Academy behind him, and begins: "People of the Galaxy. I am here to announce the first branch in our new Alliance. The people of Arkania, long tired of the inability of their own government to protect them in the face of constant
Imperial aggression, have made the courageous decision to join us in our movement."
The footage shifts to a montage of people of all races -- Arkanians, Humans, Mon Calamari, and more -- on the ground, delivering bundles of food, medicine, and other relief supplies to the citizens of Arkania, looks of gratitude and relief clearly visible despite the tension that pervades the scene. The camera pans to the flag of The Rebel Alliance being raised in Adasca Square.
The footage cuts back to Cygnus, as he continues: "None of us are free until we are all free. In that spirit, we are honored to bring Arkania into the Rebel Alliance and work hand-in-hand with its people to bring about a new day of peace and prosperity for all. Our fleet is now effecting the handoff of planetary defense in full collaboration with the people's representatives. Please do not be alarmed."
