Emperor Invictus Adera-and-Varik Kai-Evelyn's Execution
A circular insignia with the words "Rebel Alliance" appears on the screen, spiraling for a moment before the broadcast cuts to a mid-sized human male, a hollowed-out look of sadness and determination resting upon his face. He looks directly at the camera, lush jungles in the background behind him, and begins: "People of the Galaxy. I am Cygnus Vho, Supreme Commander of the Rebel Alliance. I come before you today with a heavy yet resolute heart. Our forces successfully managed to capture the Lord Emperor along with several other Sith and Imperial operatives during yesterday's liberation of Alderaan. A few moments ago, Emperor Invictus Adera-and-Varik Kai-Evelyn was returned to the Force. His death brings me no joy. It is my solemn hope that all beings are capable of redemption and reformation -- a chance to lead a new life, free of the shackles of Imperial oppression and free of their own malice and cruelty. "He lets out a long, drawn-out sigh before continues "The Lord Emperor was offered this chance to cast off the trappings of the Empire and to begin anew. He fervently declined, opting to rejoin the Force rather than repent... and so today marks a new day for the Galaxy. The Lord Emperor is dead, but his Empire is still very much alive and a danger to us all." He holds a thin, intricately designed silver crown in his hands. As it slips through his fingers and falls upon the ground, he concludes "The crown has fallen, but the throne lives on. Until it is demolished and the Empire consigned to the annals of history, we fight on." The circular insignia with the words "Rebel Alliance" reappears on the screen, spiraling for a few moments before the screen cuts out.
