An update on the new timeline
Timeline Start
First the question on everybody's mind: We are thrilled to say the next LOTJ timeline will start the afternoon of Saturday, February 4. We want to thank the playerbase for their patience while the staff took some time off for the holidays and used the sandbox bandwidth to set up the new timeline - we're very excited and want to share lots of details with you!
Application updates
All timeline applications have either been approved or denied, and Walldo has spoken to nearly every approved app at this point (if not, get in touch). There were a TON of great clan apps, many of them overlapping, so don't despair: there might just be a minor clan leader out there who needs your help 🙂
We are currently looking for pirate player apps to join one of our upcoming clans, with a particular emphasis on pilots and muscle. We are still accepting applications for unique character concepts (no custom races) and legendary ships, but no promises.
Storyline preview
It is a time of ambition and adventure across the galaxy. The Core Worlds largely united under the banner of the GALACTIC REPUBLIC, but their influence stops there. Much pageantry is being made about Alderaan's forthcoming admission to the Senate, cementing their control of the Core.
Meanwhile, criminal syndicates ranging from minor street gangs to fearsome pirates pry on the Rim Worlds as militant local governments fend for themselves. Spaceports are even buzzing with rumors of ambitious individuals seeking to carve out their own Mid-Rim Empire.
Further out yet, the Mandalorian Civil War has reached a definitive end after plaguing the fringes of the galaxy. MANDALORE ADHA ELDAR THE UNIFIER vanquished her foes, secured allegiances from the remaining clans, and now sets her sights on rebuilding glory and prestige for her people.
What's next for the galaxy, nobody knows...
About The Force
We will NOT be starting the timeline with force users in place. Thematically, the Force, Jedi, and Sith should be roleplayed as mystic things of legend and not a commonplace fact of life. There will be an announcement at a later date for force apps and rollout.
To make sure there are no regrets, purchasing force with account points will not be available and natural roll rates will be set much lower. DO NOT SEND force apps until we ask for them.
Code updates
As many of you have seen, we've experimented with a few code changes in the sandbox. We'll have more to say at the start of the timeline about what new features have made it past the experimentation phase.
