Pazaak
Pazaak has been added thanks to Kbug, Ralen, and others
Did you notice this timeline started with pazaak deck objects scattered around the galaxy? We are thrilled to announce that pazaak has officially been added to LOTJ courtesy Kbug! This classic 2-player Star Wars card game is similar to blackjack but in space.
The goal is to draw cards to score as close to 20 as possible without going over that number. The player with the highest score at or below 20 will win a round, and 3 rounds will win the entire game. Unlike Blackjack, if you tie with your opponent, the round does not count. To play Pazaak, you must first collect a deck of 10 cards, and find an NPC card-dealer in game: a smartly dressed pazaak dealer is attending the game table. Place your 10 cards into a deck, either one made by an engineer or purchased from a store. Both players give their deck to the dealer NPC to start the game.
Different Pazaak cards can be collected around the Galaxy from stores, via mob-drops, as quest rewards, or from booster packs sold at certain vending machines. Kbug designed this system so we can easily add different decks and expansion packs with different degrees of rarity good luck finding the Walldo card 😉
To get started, you can find some starting dealers on Coruscant, Nal Hutta, and Wroona. Vending machines with basic booster packs are on Corellia and Tatooine.
