We have gone to lengths over the past few years to ensure that LotJ remains an 18+ game. However, we also have loosely created and enforced policy in which we prefer that in-character language remains true to Star Wars canon. Kriff, sithspawn, scruffy-looking nerfherder, feth - all of these are acceptable and
see use quite often.

However, we have recently seen a rise of really low-brow profanity such as, "Suck my dick in hell you fuckman.", "I can hear you stroking your cock", "that happens when you're a total cunt". We want to stress that this is not only not canon for the universe that we play in, but it's just plain not in good taste and does nothing for a RP story. If you want to argue that "But it's my character, this is how they would RP!", then either conform with canon-appropriate cursing, or roll a new character. Otherwise, we will begin cracking down on this behavior.

Our staff has never been the type to tell people how to RP or to nitpick on character traits, but we also have an obligation to ensure that people feel as if they are roleplaying within a Star Wars universe - not talking out of their ass with their old teenage friends. We won't be publishing a list of sorts, but if you feel as if something is crossing the line - maybe that's enough of an indicator to not use it? Otherwise, feel free to ask RPC or IMMs if something is appropriate or not.
