HP BACTA HITPOINTS HEALTH
Hit points on LOTJ work the same as any other game - it is a measure of yourcharacter's health. If your character drops below zero HP, you will be knocked
unconscious and considered stunned. From there, you run the risk of being
hospitalized or even permed.
If you've taken damage but aren't stunned, you can recover HP a number of ways
including the first aid skill, visiting a bacta tank, or just waiting.
Different character races have different HP baselines - a Wookiee will have
significantly more than a Jawa, for example. Your max HP can be boosted by
equipping armor and select gear.
POINTS
One of the game's unique features is the ability to accumulate account points. These points can then be spent purchasing unique playable races and levels.
Account points can be earned in the following ways:
-Points can be earned upon the death of a character if they meet certain
requirements (total levels, time played, etc) up to a maximum of 3,500.
-By submitting a description for an NPC in the gameworld, up to 75 points can
be awarded. The MUD is *very* big and there are a *ton* of NPC's without
descriptions, so there are a lot of points to be made from this.
-By writing a quality history, description, character sheet, or think log.
What can I spend points on?
Points can be used at character creation to purchase unique playable races,
as well as levels for your character during creation. Purchasing levels skips
the need to level, it cannot be used to raise your maximum level in a class.
To view the particular costs of a race, input 'showrace <race>'.
