Just a random thought: It would bekinda col to have a the ability to put warrants out for peoples arrest. This would make it so that when you scan someone, and they are wanted by a particular organization and it is known publically, then it shows up on their file. Opinion?

I think it would be more along the lines of a clan empowerment.

Couldn’t you just put a bounty on them…….Only specify them being alive.

Hey got good news for you dude we have this already the empowerment is called clanbounty.

Now lets say I boutied bob and I am in the clan Fuck Bob Inc. Well I simply go to the bounty board type

      clanbounty bob 2000000

Now your hunter can go kill bob and my clan will pay you.

To claim the bounty you kill the person, though. It would be cool if there were a nonlethal alternative.

That’s what private bounties are for. The “public” posted version of that could still be carried out by posting something on the notice terminals. “Seeking so and so, race, height, characteristics, price for live capture”

Thinking about that, that actually makes sense for any public posted bounties, as most hunters have to go around asking “who is so and so” anyway. On the other hand, having a wanted poster put up for someone if they have a bounty posted from them with their name, gender, and race would be useful

ill rehash an idea I had a long time ago for code supported private bountys.

Contract.  Lets say I hire zero to capture argile a live capture

      Contract Zero Argile 200000 capture

It would check to see if I have argiles dub it would put the money in escrow and it would put a capture contract for zero and zero alove. Later I can Contract zero complete and it would pay him out.

      Another option would be

      Contract zero Argile 2000000 kill

same thing but zero gets paid when he kills argile.

      Why am I the example?

That actually makes sense, because not every bounty is to kill someone. Some of them are a I want you to bring him here so I can make his life miserable. Death some times is the easy way out, you can really make someone suffer while they are still living.

I knew about clan bounties. I mean like if someone stuns someone, and looks their file up, up where it says their level, age and other information, it could say like ‘WANTED BY: THE GALACTIC REPUBLIC” or seomthing along those lines.

Because that would encourage stun scanning and defeat private bounty at the same time. Also why even bother having soldiers in clans at all

All in all dude thats a really bad idea

And there’s been enough issues with ‘clan sponsored’ bounty hunter enforcers.

Certain people already have issues with stun-scanning. No need to add to it, right?

I think the bounty system is just fine, but I would like the public bounty system revised to allow for non-lethal collections. I realize that people use private bounties for that, but if I have a prisoner, and no one from the clan is awake to collect them, I’m shit out of luck and I have an angry passenger. What am I supposed to do with that? I think public bounties should have the option for the poster to specify dead or alive. So if a bounty hunter goes to “collectbounty”, if the bounty is dead, the person is permed. If the bounty is alive, the person gets sent to a temporary holding cell until the clan can come collect the person (jail_guidelines still apply).

Edit: In a nutshell, basically agreeing with Flek’s idea. Accidentally skipped over it while tired from three hours of sleep.

It seems like a simple syntax could be added to clanbounty for what Kirash and Flek have mentioned.

      clanbounty seryb 100000 1

      clanbounty seryb 100000 2

      1 being a live capture

      2 being dead

With leadplanet you can set up a jail if I remember correctly, the hunter would take the person to a planet owned by the clan and claim the bounty there.

The bonus being that it would force clans to set leaders of planet, to set up the jail protocol, if not the person would simply be able to walk free. Then the clanmembers get a message saying there is a prisoner in detainment upon Tattoine or w/e.
