Yeah. Two things I’d like to throw up here.

      1) Lower the costs. Took me 100,000 credits to train Bridger’s stats.
      2) Make stat gains from levels separate from the stats on character sheet, so people who don’t have the chance to train stats early aren’t screwed over by lucky gains in the beginning.

1 the downside to buying levels and 2 if we make stat training cheaper why have it at all it cost so you have to pick and choose what you train and when. I usally max out int and wis and dex then capp off science and pilot levels before going to to train other stats. 100k fore maxing is cheap iv had it cost me upwards of 300k

If anything, scale back the chance of getting a stat during leveling. I feel like I get them too frequently.

Here’s an idea, make stat training more realistic. Pushups, pullups, benchpressing, situps, jogging, studying. That way we don’t spend our twinked-out credit gains on stats.

Don’t throw up on the forums.

If we want to lower the cost of stat trainers, how about spreading out the stat trainers and making them difficult to find? As well as implementing ACTUAL training as Onasaki suggested.

Also I agree with Walldo, I got four CON gains while training combat and my stats are utterly ridiculous, yes I have some cybers, but all save one of my stats are 25 naked.

While I like the idea, ever hear of a gym? You pay to use some gyms that have TRAINERS and better equipment to help you out.

Also, do you just love the word twink or do you enjoy throwing it around in a manner that doesn’t fit with the definition?

Actually it does fit. Stats are twinky. Everyone and their brother, as Tsol said has at least one stat at 25. Stats are rediculous, stat training is even more so.

And I never said a thing that disincluded trainers. The realistic training idea can work with the trainers AND alone. Maybe pay the trainers to gain access to a room where the success rate of gaining a stat is increased.

With my idea, though, it would take a WHILE to gain a stat level with pushups/pullups/etc etc. And you’d have to workout once in a while or the stat levels will decrease. And to decrease the botting of these commands, make it so you can only work out so much before you get too tired to workout anymore. Say, for each command if it’s ever implimented, they have different stamina decreasing levels. Like for pushups it drops your movement(Or health?) by 10, and once it hits a minimum you have to rest a while, with a 75 minute cooldown or something.

Or make stats like skill trees.

Str training, you get to choose which training method you wanna use. One for more shit in inventory, one for higher hitroll, one for damroll.

Or you could just leave stat training the way it is…

      Just a thought…

Stat training is the way it is for a reason. Back when I first started playing, trainers only cost 200, not 2,000. EVERYONE that came out of the academy went straight to a trainer and maxed out their stats before they even had a description up. The idea of having stats degrade with disuse has merit. It would be a nice means of untwinking people who decide to leave their characters idling, or even inactive for long periods of time. But! It would be a bitch to impliment.

people who have stats at max are not twink, I liked your post untill that part and agreed with it except the degrading part. Leave stat training alone. its 2k to stop people from maxing out (not twinking out) in the very begining. It is getting old to call ayone who likes to cap off there char a twink just because I like haveing my levels and stats as high as the race allows does not make me a twink.

Actually, that’s precisely how I’ve always defined a twink. What were we talking about?
