A high level slicing skill like fakesignal that would allow someone to land on restricted pads. Possibly to escape someone or to raid a base, or any number of reasons. Obviously would have a high risk factor if failed like fakesignal. Unless people think is it fine to access restricted pads by launching escape pods.

Launching escape pods to reach a pad is bug exploitation and needs to be reported. In the last 2 eras every time it happens I have reported it any stolen items are returned people are punished and any kidnapped people have been released.

Now on for the idea I am all for it. Maybe make it like security and alert governing clan if failed. Sentinal ships would target any ship that failed.

Smugglers used to be able to land on clan pads if they were level 100 or 150. or something like that. I think it should be reimped, Slicers already have the ability to use any turbolift. Let’s give smugglers something besides ship swipin’

      I agree. Make it espionage.

Why don’t we just remove the current bug exploitation as it stands and be happy. Or we could just make clan bases open throughfares to any average joe citizen that wants to have a look around/steal blueprints on a whim. Personally i think its bad enough slicers have the ability to bypass the only real security in a clans base, the turbolift. I’m all for clan bases being a safe haven for people to work and do their thing. Sure it may make for an impregnible fortress where people can hide out and the such, but then its not meant to be easy to just waltz into someones own domain to arrest/assassinate them.

For people who seem to be over the top RPers and haters of twinks, you all want to be twinked out and have everything given to you on a platter.

That is egregious on all accounts. You don’t know anything about me. For all you know I could be a twink.

Again, no. We are not talking about average joe citizens, which if you ask me are mobs/NPC citizens. We are talking about master slicers, smugglers, or espyes, because it would be a high level skill. None of the player base represents the average joe citizen, they are all above average in at least one class, duh-hur.

Noone is trying to make is easy, but no fortress would be impregnable… Prime example: The Death Star.

That is the only constructive thing you said.

It isn’t "slicers." It’s people with 150 levels in slicing.

It was just another way to say anyone and everyone, a master engineering with 150 slicing doesn’t make them an expert infiltration agent now does it.

Indeed, and it took a jedi to get past/avoid how many armed guards who were there looking for them… Most facilities would have some sort of constant surveilance/security team _always_ on duty. If we were to god forbid follow something that even made sense about a clans "base" there’d be mobs at the landing pads and the front entrace/checkpoints to monitor(perhaps clans need more updates on the happenings of their base, when people are at the front door and pad that aren’t meant to be there, even just have the current alarms which would surfice broadcasted onto the clan frequency instead of only inside the factory) the edd and flow of people entering and leaving and making sure unwanted people don’t get in. Would they allow someone to stand there playing with the access panel or even stand there and let them attach demolition charges to a door to blow up, i think not.

      Lastly i couldn’t give a shit if you were a twink or a transvestite, no-one likes a douchebag trying to undermine other people. Be constructive, as Walldo would say <!– s:P –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!– s:P –>

Again a Master engineer with 150 slicing is a Master slicer as well, how hard is that to understand. Not an average joe, even a slicer with 50 slicing is not an average joe….

I’m trying to ignore the end of your post, but I can’t cause obviously your describing both of your posts and not mine. Your blatantly insulting, labeling people, and bringing nothing positive to the topic. You don’t like the idea, we get it, move on.

Too try add something constructive, and all I really have to add since I started this topic and my view is clear, Troll is right and it should be a level 150 espionage, because it would probably take more tact than computer skills.

So the concensus is that we’d all not want any place to be safe on the mud, aside from floating in uncharted? I’d like to know the figures on how many engineers end up being the most permed class there is. Considering in the favourite class poll engi’s far outweigh most other class’ as a favourite, i’d personally like my character let alone everyones’ to be left alone and have somewhere safe to work on supplying all you douchebags with the custom armour and weapons you all end up using and spamming the comms looking for.

And to reply i don’t see how having a safe haven is akin to twinking out a character, morons.

CLan bases are relativly safe, when people eject onto a pad tell the imms they get punished. People can break into them so what no place is 100% safe in the mud. I am always an engi main and Its easy to avoid a perm if you are an engineer dont threatin the combats and you will be safe. I think what you want is a place to talk shit from and go neener neener neener you cant get me!
