Era 3 Announcement
ROLEPLAY: LOTJ'S MOBILE STORYLINE STRIKES AGAIN
After an exciting 7+ months, we are definitely in the home stretch of Era 2. There is still plenty more action left to be had, including the End of Era event, but the staff is ready to start sharing some details around what you can expect in the days and weeks to come so that you all can plan accordingly.

When will Era 3 start?
We hope to begin era 3 sometime in early April. Some of the factors that guide when an era opens include EoE event prep, clan app processing, necessary build work, player/staff availability, and more. We will provide more clear guidance as we get closer.
What will the End of Era event be?
No spoilers! We're planning a series of events over the course of a week for all sides to participate in. This will include threats both in space and on land which you'll want friends to help with, so don't jump ship out of your current clan just yet!
When will I hear back about my Era 3 app?
The staff will start assessing era 3 applications on Thursday, March 24, so be sure to get applications in before then! Feel free to immchat any/all questions you have.
Will there be downtime between the eras?
Yes, you can expect the usual wizlock for a few days while the staff catches their breath and resets the game world for Era 3.
Are developments still open? When will they open in the new era?
Developments for era 2 are now closed. We'll put out an announcement, probably a week or two into the new era, when they're available again.
Will there be an in-game time skip?
Yes, we are planning to jump a hefty 15-20 years between eras. A jump this large will let us set up a unique era 3 sandbox well removed from the current IC constraints while still giving era2 players a chance to establish their legacy and expand on their backstories, from grizzled veterans to fresh faces who have never known war.
Will there be a playerwipe?
No. Player files, lockers, bank accounts, and ships will stay, but we will be clearing homes and shops owned by idle characters before reopening for era 3. You should also remove anything you have stored in lockers inside clan bases.
Are we changing up in-game planets?
At this time, we don't plan to remove any current publicly available planets. In the event that we do, players with homes or shops on them will be able to retrieve their things. We hope to have more to say about further updates and changes soon 😉
