Character descriptions, histories, and help botting
Thank you all much for joining us as we kick off another LOTJ timeline! This is a friendly reminder to check your descriptions and histories. While you might have said to yourself while leveling: "let me put a placeholder here and I'll get to it later," now is the time! Great descriptions and histories improve the roleplay experience for everyone on the game, and we're big fans of them.
Generally speaking, we are looking for a minimum of 5 sentences in a description that detail your character's physical appearance. In your history, you must include your actual character name and a 5 sentence biography about your character's past. One piece of advice I can offer on the biography: It doesn't have to be from your character's perspective. HELP BIO_TEMPLATE has some good player-crafted formats, but you are not limited to only those formats. Some of the best ones tend to be customized to that particular character's style.
It's likely I've been in touch with you if you history or description isn't up to snuff, so please work to correct whatever I've asked of you. If you have any questions or you are struggling, reach out to us on immchat. We're here to help.
I've also rewarded around 15 characters/accounts for what I consider to be exceptional histories and descriptions that go above and beyond. If you've been rewarded, thank you so much for your effort!
Finally, please review HELP BOTTING. While leveling can be an arduous process, there are only certain actions you can walk away from the computer while automating. Punishments here can be harsh, so let's just not go there.
