They should, on the condition those with enough strength could carry them, and medical mains could have a feat like "autopsy" or some such.

Autopsy was suggested a long time ago, amazed it hasn’t been brought up again, but yea, something that could discern the death of a character would be awesome.

That was back when every main had it’s own forum and Perenor did all those medical topics with different ideas and everyone posted/agreed/made a new topic saying something like autopsy or examining a corpse with forensics adept would make a good feature.
