Aight, I know it’s been mentioned before, but c’mon, why the hell hasn’t it been implemented? Transfers. It can’t be THAT hard to do. I’m not some fancy master coder, but I do know my way around code and it can’t be that difficult. Anyways, it’d be simple.

      bank 11111 transfer 500000 to 22222

How hard could that be? It’d make people actually use slicers to some degree to protect there accounts so they have no worry about opening multiple accounts and then having to quickly withdraw. Also make personal or private business easier. Need to get paid? Boss doesn’t have to wait til you’re on to give it to you, give him your account number, protect it, and he can just transfer at a whim.

ALSO. Make a bank close account system. I mean really, if we get the transfers system in, there really isn’t a need to have 50 accounts. Just my two cents. Peace out peeps.

My fingers and toes aren’t enough to count the times this has been suggested and shot down.

Yes, the idea itself is brilliant and all that.. I even think that I posted something like this on the old forums. The problem is that this encourages to alt interaction and before you say anything, yes, it has been suggested that the skill/command would be coded to reject characters associated to the same account etc. etc. but it’s just not that simple.

I don’t know anything about coding/building or mud mechanics in general but if someone could come up with a sensible idea to prevent the bank transfer from being abused I’m sure Imms would see to it being coded or at least I hope they would. <!– s:D –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!– s:D –>

if you made the requirement that both players had to be fully online at the same time, the alt issue would go away.

But yeah, 1 online, 1 offline transfers are asking for trouble.

      Good idea. Make the change, code it. That’s a wrap gentlemen. Glad I could assist once again. <!– s8) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8)" title="Cool" /><!– s8) –>

I would make a script to start trying to transfer 1 credit to everyone online cycleing bank accounts once I hit one I would hack it.

Besides that sounding like an illegal script you can already do that nowdays, you just don’t seem very creative in how to accomplish it <!– s:P –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!– s:P –>
Someone mentioned on the old forums a way you could hack with a script, but lets not necro post cause RJ would go mental <!– s8) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8)" title="Cool" /><!– s8) –> . If your going to dedicate time to actually writing an elaborate script to scam money, perhaps you should get onto BP and be constructive <!– s:P –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!– s:P –>
