Ryn

The Ryn were an uncommon humanoid species, with prehensile tails, beak-like noses, long fingers, white hair, and distinctive odor. They were known for their musicality and diligent cleanliness despite being often mistaken as dirty due to their strong odor.

Physiology and Culture
Ryn are a humanoid race. Their bodies are covered in fur that primarily grows in a short fuzz all around, with the exception of their human-like hair and the human-like mustaches on the men. They also have prehensile tails, excellent for grasping things. They are nomadic, with no knowledge of their original homeworld, and are either hated, ignored, or quietly despised in every corner of the Galaxy, notably such areas as the Corporate Sector. Ryn are fond of dance, song, and the enjoyment of life. A peculiar habit of theirs is that a Ryn cannot sleep in the same location twice.
Spread over the galaxy, the Ryn's original homeworld is forgotten, even to them. They have two theories: the first being that they were descended from thousands of musicians hired out to a world swept clean of artists, the second that they were the descendants of mercenaries deployed against an Inner Rim threat. The second gained credence due to the fact that the Ryn language contained many military words and phrases, most notably the fact that the words for non-Ryn and civilian were related. The Ryn claimed to have invented sabacc, originally as a means of divination. They were a very musical people, being able to play their beaks like flutes. They could even call droids with them, by being able to play pitches very precisely.
Role in LotJ
The Ryn apparently once had an impressive warrior tradition on their homeworld, but that was, save for their tendency to fight tenaciously, apparently lost. Sabacc is derived from their use of it as a fortune telling tool in their auguries, and these auguries are today favored by Hutts, who have a superstitious belief in the card tellings. Most Ryn can be found staying under the radar. Shunned by most other races, they often find jobs in the underworld as smugglers, scoundrels, and informants.
Most other races have a tendency to avoid and ignore the Ryn, which they often use to their advantage.
Ryn speak Galactic Basic, and are also capable of mimicking Binary with their musical beaks.
