Definitions

Perm The ultimate death of a character. Results in a corpse, unless the character was killed within an exploding ship.
PK (player killing) Generally non-consensual player combat that may or may not result in a perm (pending hospitalization, cloning, etc.)

Styles of Perming

There are two general classifications of perming; pre-meditated style murder and "crime of passion" style perms. The following is a guideline on exactly what the Role-Play Council will be using to determine restore requests.

Pre-meditated style perming

  • Thoroughly recorded and well-written roleplay-based think logs, a minimum of 3 days worth of logs
  • The character sheet of the one committing the perm.
  • IC action logs to back up both the perm and your think logs. The more logs to prove your case, the better.

Crime of Passion style perming

  • Due to it's last minute nature, character sheet is going to be considered first and foremost.
  • IC action logs to back up any parts of the situation will definitely help your case.
  • Any think logs that you may have that might add up to your decision

Bounty Hunting

Bounty hunters who are contracted to perm another player are only responsible for maintaining an IC action log. The person posting the bounty is required to maintain the rest.

Destroying spacecraft on the ground

Unlike in the past, RPC permission is no longer required to destroy grounded spacecraft. The following stipulations have replaced that process.

  • Thoroughly recorded and well-written RP based think logs, a minimum of 3 days worth of logs
  • IC Action logs that add up to your decision and back up your think logs
