Academy.are To Do list
1. Recolor room titles to &w, descriptions to &z and highlights and mobs to &C
2. There is a partially created Newbie Village which exists already. Please descript this area to look like a cannon star wars city that is currently not in use on any port, and is not a war planet. Chandrilla comes to mind, or make it an outpost on some mining planet. Keep the descriptions short, simple and to the point.
3. Create newbie quests which players can do until level 5.
4. The entire newbie academy should be flagged to nodub. The current rooms probably already are, but the village will need to be checked before we call this area finished.
5. The Newbie village should have a doorway into the RPC courthouse, but checks should be put in place to ensure that the RPC members can’t find their way into the IC world.
6. Go through programs and edit any current mud tips to read in the following format: “&c[&CMud Hint&c] &w<text>†it’s fine if it’s called Mud Tip, Mud Hint or Mud Note. Use the most appropriate one for the circumstance.
7. From character gen, your character is dropped into the start of the academy. The basic info is given there. Move north, and you find yourself into a room where you can choose one of 3 paths. For lack of a better word, we’ll call this the choose-your-path room. The first path is for players who are new to mudding and or LotJ, which is the current newbie academy that Walldo built. The second path is the village where players can try out their skills and get help from RPC. The third path is to enter the IC world.
Note: If they choose the first path, they should go through the academy and return to the choose your path room, and they can then either go through the village, or go to the IC world. The village is a circle with one way in and one way out. Id’ like a vendor there to sell the newbie clothing there, and also where it currently is. When they are done with the village, the only logical place to go is to the IC world. When they go down the path to the IC world, they will be filtered out according to character type. Lorrdians will pick up the appropriate cookies, Arkanian Offshoots will be informed that they’re to expect poor treatment on Arkania, etc. Argazdans should be filtered out to either join the Argazdan Empire, or no clan at all (They can join manually on their own, but this at least enforces what we want of them, Lorrdians can’t join a clan at all, etc, and all other characters can join whatever open clans we have except for the Argazdans. Lorrdians and Argazdans must start on Lorrd. Everyone else gets to pick either Arkania or Coruscant.
